Want to Make Some Money? Sell Bags Now!!!

Well the Shattering has officially occured and everyone and their mom is now rolling new alts with the new race/class combos available. This offers an excellent chance to make money if you have a toon with tailoring. Bags are usually the first thing people buy for their toons as the starting bag is simply too small. The most common bags bought are Netherweave Bags due to their high carrying capacity and relatively low cost. On my server they usually sell for 10g but they are now going for 25g or more. The demand is huge (I've sold 50 in the last 12 hours alone) and I don't expect the demand to slack until the weekend is over. 
You should also look into the more expensive Frostweave Bags. Usually you have to sell these at a loss due to the price and amount of mats needed to make them. Their higher price (usually 50g on my server) means that people leveling alts usually wait to buy them for their toons - meaning their is much less of a market. With the price of Netherweave Bags and demand for bags so high, however, it might even be worth it to sell Frostweave Bags. They are currently selling for over 100g on my server and while they don't sell as quickly as the Netherweave Bags you can still make a tidy profit. So if you have a tailor make as many of these bags as you can and get them on the AH now! If you don't have a tailor but have Nethweave Cloth and/or Frostweave Cloth in your bank list it on the AH now as the prices for these mats are as high as they are going to be for a long long time.

Good Bye Old Azeroth

Well the servers are now back up and I am logging into a changed Azeroth. I was playing last night when the servers went down (buying cheap glyphs on the AH of course) and as soon as the servers went down it hit me that nothing will ever be the same. Cairne will be dead, Thrall is on a "journey", Stormwind will be heavily damaged, and the Barrens will be torn in two. While I am excited to explore the new Azeroth I am sad to see the old one go.

See When and What Your Opponents are Selling

First I'd like to say sorry for not posting in a while - had some real life stuff come up that had to be taken care of.

Now that it is taken care of though I'd like to tell you about a new feature The Undermine Jounrnal rolled out a few days ago. They are alpha testing the ability to see both when your (and your opponents) auctions are selling along with the ability to see the last auctions sold by any toon.

To see when auctions are selling simply pull up the information for any toon you want and scroll down to the Sold Volume Heat Map. The darker the blue the more auctions sold in that hour and if you mouse over the graph you can see exactly how many auctions sold in any particular hour.



Scroll even further down the page and you will see a list of the last 50 items that were sold by that person.



 

Currently these features are in Alpha testing and aren't super accurate (I have seen a few auctions listed on my page as being sold which weren't). Nonetheless they are worth checking out and once the data becomes more accurate this information will be used by everyone in the know to scout out how their opponents are actually making money - as opposed to simply what they are posting.
