Making Gold With Craftable Items in Patch 4.2 Part II

Today I'll be going over all the items that look like they will be released around five weeks into patch 4.2. One of the interesting things about these items is that all of the items that don't have sources have a lot in common. They are all epic items; they are all obtainable only by people with the profession; all the items are BOE; and all the items use Living Embers. Because of all of these similarities I am guessing that the recipes, and Living Embers, will be some kind of drops, probably from instance bosses, and will be released together in a future PTR patch.

Materials of Note:

Elementium: Quite a lot of Hardened Elementium Bars are used in these recipes. However, because these are epics, there will probably be a smaller market size. Unless you are on a very competitive, and rich, server I wouldn't recommend stockpiling this. I would, however, recommend having some set aside if you plan on crafting.

Truegold: Since all of the Truegold is used in recipes that are known to come from vendors it stands to reason that a lot of people on your server will be unlocking these recipes at the same time (people who do the dailies everyday). I would stockpile a bit of these as I think that the price will rise significantly for a few days as people will be eager to craft these items once they get the recipe. The amount of items crafted at the same time, however, will probably crash the market. Because of this I don't expect the demand spike to last beyond one major round of crafting. I plan on stockpiling a few stacks but probably wouldn't recommend stockpiling more.

Chaos Orbs: Everyone should pay attention to these to see if they become BOE.

Living Embers: Where do these come from?!? If you have any ideas sound off below in the comments section.

Volatile Water and Volatile Fire: All of these volatiles are used in recipes that currently have no known source. When the source is determined the thing to think about is whether or not all the recipes will basically become available at the same time. If they do I would stockpile some extra of these as there will be a demand spike. If, on the other hand, it looks like the recipes of unknown source will be learned gradually then I would expect the demand spike to be much less as it will be more spread out.

Pristine Hides: Stockpile these. Stockpile Heavy Savage Leather also so that you can turn it into Pristine Hides. It doesn't matter so much where the unknown recipes come from in this case, even though that is where most of the Pristine Hides will be used. The fact that they are used in bags means there will be a sustained demand spike. Bags are always in demand. 

Dreamcloth: If it becomes BOE with the patch stockpile it. If it isn't BOE and you will be able to get the unknown source recipes on your tailor, stockpile. If anything else don't bother.
